PHP issues performance report

LAHORE: Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) Headquarters has released the performance report for June 2024.
PHP checked 2.7 million individuals on highways through the e-Police Post App. During the checks, 525 wanted criminals and court absconders were arrested. Across Punjab's highways, 1.32 million vehicles were checked, and 171 stolen vehicles/motorcycles were recovered.
As part of the road safety campaign, over 214,000 tickets were issued for traffic violations. For violations of axle load regulations, over 86,500 overloaded vehicles were fined, and legal action was taken. A sum of Rs89 million was deposited into the treasury from fines. Legal action was taken against 798 vehicles for the illegal use of gas cylinders.
