A girl and a boy drowned in an underground water tank at their home in the Manghopir locality on Monday. Police said the incident occurred in the Khairabad area, where Iqra Ahmed, 13, and Siddiqi Yasin, 10, were found unconscious in the tank.
They were taken to the nearby Sindh Government Qatar Hospital, but neither of them could survive. Police said the children were swimming in the tank when they went underwater and fell unconscious. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the children could not be revived.
The families of the deceased took away the bodies without completing any legal formalities.
