The heated debate between opinion makers and those politicians out of power continues. However, those politicians who played a central role in bringing the country to the present sorry state of affairs are gloating that they are being exonerated from the blunders they committed. On the one hand Imran blames the state for removing his government and persecuting his party and at the same time he refuses to talk to democratic political parties. Such double standards, failure of politicians to deliver, rampant corruption, political instability and indirect and direct calls to the powerful elements to intervene has undermined our democracy. Therefore, the first step in the right direction would be for politicians to put their house in order.
