Death sentence awarded in murder case

PESHAWAR: Additional District and Sessions Court Judge Liaqat Ali on Monday awarded a death sentence to a man for the murder of senior lawyer Razaullah Khan.
The court also fined the convict Rs500,000.According to the prosecution, Jabir Khan, son of Meraj Khan, killed his uncle senior lawyer Razaullah Khan, who was a member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council, over a land dispute in the limits of East Cantonment Police Station in Peshawar Saddar in November 2022.
The police had arrested the accused and had submitted a challan after completing the investigation.In case of non-payment of the fine, the convict would have to undergo six months of additional imprisonment.
