CHITRAL: The electricity supply to Lower Chitral was disrupted for 72 hours due to a technical fault at the Golen Gol power plant.
Lower Chitral MPA Mehtar Fateh-ul-Mulk Ali Nasir has been in contact with Wapda and Pesco officials about the issue. After the technical team at the Golen Gol Powerhouse failed to identify and resolve the problem promptly, a team from Peshawar, on the directives of the Pesco chief, reached Chitral and commenced the work. Local sources said the technical fault was likely to be resolved soon.
A delegation led by MNA Chitral Abdul Latif was expected to meet the Pesco chief to discuss and resolve the electricity issue.
