Islamabad:The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) is gearing up to conduct the National Registration Examination (NRE) Step 2 Clinical Skills Examination (CSE) on July 20-21 and July 27-28, 2024. This crucial exam assesses the clinical competencies of medical graduates, ensuring adherence to rigorous standards for professional practice.

The NRE Step 2 CSE will feature practical assessments across 20 stations, evaluating skills in Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, and ENT. Candidates must pass both theory and CSE components separately, with a minimum 60% pass rate required.

PMDC President Prof. Dr. Rizwan Taj underscored the exam’s significance in enabling Pakistani national graduates from foreign institutions to register with PMDC. He emphasized PMDC’s role in enhancing medical education quality and fostering professionalism and patient care standards.

Designed to be transparent and unbiased, the exam aims to provide equal opportunities for all candidates while promoting continuous learning and excellence in healthcare. The stringent assessment process is pivotal in upholding public trust in the medical and dental professions, ensuring high-quality healthcare services across Pakistan.
