ISLAMABAD: Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif said on Saturday that the PTI founder Imran Khan’s release from jail posed no threat to the government.
Talking to BBC Urdu, he said, “Ups and downs are part of politics and should be resolved politically and should not be taken as a threat.”
Khawaja Asif said, “I don’t think that PTI founder will take the prime minister’s offer of talks seriously but the government is ready for talks.”
To a question, the defence minister said if the political powers wanted to work together to find a way for the country to improve, what would be establishment’s objection.
