LAHORE: Pakistan’s young cueists Ahsan Ramzan and Mohammad Hasnain Akhtar on Saturday blasted their way into the quarter-finals of the Asian Under-21 15 Red Snooker Championship in Riyadh.
Both the cueists romped to their third straight wins in their respective groups to advance to the knock-out stage.
Ahsan Ramzan downed Suhail Saeed of UAE 3-0 in Group A with the frames score being 91-6, 86-31(57), 75-38. His fine feat also contained a break of 57 i9n the second frame. Meanwhile Mohammad Hasnain Akhtar conquered Langyi Ryan Li of Hong Kong 3-2 with the set score being 69-43, 41-65, 7-76(76), 75-24, 63-35.
Meanwhile in the 6 Red Asian Snooker Championship Asjad Iqbal and Awais Ullah Munir continued with their fine undefeated run in their respective groups.
Awais downed Mohammad Rikaz of Sri Lanka 4-1 with the frames score being 33-11, 66-0(65), 16-54(54), 39-04, 39-05. He then downed Ziyad Alqabbani of Saudi Arabia 4-0 with the score of 44-05, 33-14, 33-18, 36-32.
