Three killed in Kohistan road mishap
MANSEHRA: Three persons, including a man and his son, were killed and another sustained injuries when a jeep plunged into a river in Pattan area of Lower Kohistan on Saturday.
“We have retrieved all three bodies and an injured person from the river and shifted them to a nearby hospital,” District Emergency Officer 1122 Sajid Ali Yousufzai told reporters.
The jeep loaded with wooden beams carrying four persons was on its way to Pattan from the Kiyal area when its driver lost control over steering while negotiating a sharp turn and it fell into the river.
The Rescue 1122 and police personnel reached the spot and four injured to the civil hospital in Pattan where doctors pronounced Muhammad Mumtaz, 48, his son Muhammad Ibrar, 13, and Jehanzeb, 35, dead.
