KARACHI: Former world champion Amir Khan will organise the first ever international professional boxing bout here on June 2, Amir disclosed in a tweet on Monday.
He said in a post on his Facebook page the other day that next week he would be going to make a big announcement for Pakistan.
Amir’s spokesperson told ‘The News’ on Monday that Amir’s younger brother Haroon Khan would be one of the competitors in the bout. “The rest of the information will be divulged soon,” the spokesperson said.
During a visit to Lyari last year, Amir had announced that he would hold a fight for Haroon Khan in Pakistan.
Amir, who was knocked out by Mexico’s Alvarez a few days ago, is expected to arrive in Pakistan on May 29.
