HYDERABAD: The Matiari police have arrested three suspects nominated in the case of killing of a federal government officer on the first day of Eidul Azha.
Federal bureaucrat Sache Dino Kaka and his uncle Allah Bachayo were killed allegedly by six suspects in Sirachon Kaka village near New Saeedabad in Matiari district. On Thursday, the Matiari police arrested three of the accused nominated in the FIR — Nizamuddin Kaka, his son Hassamuddin Kaka and Abdul Karim Kaka — in the Faqirabad National Chowk area.
Javed Kaka, another accused in the murder case, had been arrested earlier. Police said that during interrogation, Javed had identified the pistol used in the killing that was seized from the Autaq of Nizamuddin in Serachon Kaka Village.
Two persons nominated in the FIR, Farooq Kaka and Noor Mohammad, alias Kalu Kaka, are yet to be arrested. Meanwhile, Noman Sarwar Kaka, the brother of the deceased Sache Dino, filed a second FIR on Wednesday alleging that the accused were threatening his family in order to have the case against them withdrawn.
Nizamuddin and the other two accused appeared before a New Saeedabad court on Thursday and presented protective bail orders obtained from the Sindh High Court. However, upon returning from the court, police arrested them in the second FIR pertaining to threats to the family of the deceased.
On Friday, police produced the three arrested men before a court and asked for a 14-day remand. However, a civil judge of New Saeedabad taluka handed over the suspects on a three-day remand.
