The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday granted protective bail to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MNA Khalid Khan Loond and his two sons in the murder case of journalist Nasarullah Gadani.
The PPP MNA, and his two sons, Shahbaz Khan and Noor Mohammad, had filed an application seeking protective bail from the SHC in connection with the journalist’s murder registered in Mirpur Mathelo, Ghotki.
Their counsel submitted that the complainant had made allegations against his client in their statement recorded before a court and requested the high court to grant the MNA and his sons protective bail so that they could defend charges against them.
A division bench of the SHC headed by Justice Zulfiqar Ahmed Khan granted protective bail to the PPP MNA and his sons for 10 days and directed them to appear before the trial court. According the Gadani’s family members’ statement registered before a judicial magistrate, the PPP MNA and his two sons had the journalist killed through their men.
