53 connections severed; Rs3.4m fine imposed on gas thieves
LAHORE: During the ongoing crackdown on gas pilferers, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd continued raids in Punjab, KP and Islamabad, disconnected another 53 connections and imposed Rs3.4m fine.
In Lahore, the team severed eight connections on illegal use of gas. In Multan, the team severed 10 connections on illegal use of gas. The regional team of Sheikhupura disconnected two connections on illegal use of gas and also imposed Rs0.99m fine. In Bahawalpur, the team severed two connections on the illegal use of gas and another eight on the use of compressors.
The regional team of Faisalabad disconnected one connection on illegal use of gas and also imposed a fine of Rs0.02 million against gas theft cases.
In Mardan, the team severed 20 connections on illegal use of gas and also imposed fine of Rs2.4 million. The regional team of Sahiwal disconnected two connections on the illegal use of gas.
