Five uplift schemes worth Rs26bn approved
LAHORE: The 55th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) was held under the Chairmanship of Chairman P&D Board Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan and approved five development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of Rs26 billion.
The approved schemes included rehabilitation of Multan-Vehari Road at the cost of Rs13 billion, dualisation of Faisalabad-Chiniot-Sargodha Road from Kamalpur Interchange to Tehsil Chowk Chiniot, District Faisalabad and Chiniot at the cost of Rs11 billion, Construction of CPO/Complex at District Police Lines, Multan at the cost of Rs481.544 million, Improvement and Extension of Sewerage System in Burewala City at the cost of Rs1.012 billion, Urban Sewerage Scheme for (Islampura, Zafar Colony, Qartaba Town, Johar Colony, Sultan Town, Shirazi Park, Mujahid Colony, Ali Town, Gilwala including adjacent colonies) and Abadies of (Yousaf Park, Aziz Colony, Bashir Colony, Nawab Colony Sargodha City at the cost of Rs476.447 million.
Secretary P&D Board Dr Asif Tufail, Chief Economist Nasir Iqbal Malik, members P&D Board, head of relevant departments and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments attended the meeting.
