I did not expect Afghanistan to reach the semi-finals of the 2024 T20 World Cup and their achievement shows the importance of hard work and merit-based player selection. These are qualities that were not evident in the Pakistani team.
The fans of the Pakistan cricket team have been very disappointed by their team’s abysmal performance at the same tournament. The most depressing aspect was seeing players clearly not up to par being chosen for such a crucial tournament.
