PESHAWAR: Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Henny Fokel de Vries called on Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur here on Thursday.
Besides the matters related to Afghan refugees, prospects for partnership in various sectors including agriculture, livestock, water resources, tourism and energy were discussed in detail in the meeting, said a handout.
The dignitaries also agreed to float viable proposals for enhanced mutual cooperation in the identified potential sectors as well as to implement the proposed plans in this regard.The chief minister said that developing agriculture and livestock sectors on modern lines is one of the top most priorities of his government; it is need of the hour to effectively utilize the modern technology in order to enhance the agricultural and livestock production in the province, and the provincial government would welcome the cooperation of Netherlands’ government in this regard.
Speaking on the occasion, the ambassador said that the manner in which the people and government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have hosted their Afghan brethren for the last several decades, is truly commendable.
