K-Electric is grappling with significant issues in maintaining an uninterrupted power supply due to outstanding dues of approximately Rs10.5 billion from the Sindh government.
The power utility in a press statement said that delay in payments has severely impacted K-Electric’s ability to deliver consistent electricity to its consumers. The spokesperson urged the Sindh government to expedite the payment of these dues to ensure smooth and reliable power supply in the region.
The financial strain from these unpaid dues has put K-Electric in a difficult position, affecting its operational efficiency and ability to cater to the energy demands of its customers. The power utility said that it has repeatedly highlighted the necessity for timely payments to sustain the infrastructure and services essential for uninterrupted power distribution.
