The increasing number of robberies, muggings, and snatching incidents in Karachi have left many of us feeling unsafe and vulnerable. The recent surge in criminal activity is alarming and it is clear that more needs to be done to address this issue. I urge the authorities to increase the police presence in high-crime areas, improve street lighting, and implement community-based programmes to support at-risk youth.
I also believe that addressing the root causes of street crime, such as poverty and lack of opportunities, is crucial to finding a long-term solution. I request that the city council allocate more resources to support job training programmes, mental health services, and community development initiatives.
