Session on Punjab Public Expenditure

LAHORE: The Planning and Development Board (P&D Board) and UNDP convened a consultative session on the Punjab Public Expenditure Review.

The goal of the session was to provide a thorough picture of the development landscape in Punjab and evaluate the impact of public expenditure on certain development outcomes. The consultative session disseminates the public expenditure analysis findings and policy suggestions, which will reveal Punjab’s development landscape, with a primary focus on the functional and economic allocation and administration of public expenditure in priority sectors.

It engages key provincial stakeholders in a discourse about sectoral challenges and possibilities to improve resource allocation efficiency and effectiveness. P&D Board Secretary Dr Asif Tufail acknowledged the UNDP Pakistan technical assistance to the GOP in fulfilling the SDGs2030 in Punjab. Assistant Resident Representative UNDP Pak, Ms Ammara Durrani, stated that UNDP Pakistan is dedicating its ninth year to meet the SDGs 2030 targets.
