LAHORE:The administration of Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) has dismissed one of its employees on the charges of harassment.
A spokesperson for the university said that faculty members and students had filed complaints of harassment and misconduct against Khurram Shehzad, a sanitary worker by designation. The matter was handed over to the Harassment Committee and then to the PEEDA inquiry committee. Both committees conducted the hearing under the prescribed rules and heard the parties and gave the accused full opportunity to defend himself.
The management, on the recommendations of the committees, imposed the punishment of dismissal from service, the spokesperson added. LCWU Vice Chancellor Dr Shaughta Naz has said that the university is following the zero-tolerance policy on the issue of harassment.
