Corruption more destructive than Indian nuclear attack: Siraj
KOHAT: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq said that future of the country and the nation was dark because of the present ruling junta. Addressing a public meeting at Lachi in Kohat on Sunday, he said the corruption by rulers was enough to destroy the country and there was no need of Indian nuclear attack for the purpose.
He said the JI had launched a campaign against corruption and rallies against corruption would be held in all major cities before the train march from Peshawar to Karachi beginning on May 25. He said he could also give a call for Islamabad march if necessary.
He said the prevailing system that produced Zardaris, Nawaz Sharifs, Bilawals and Musharrafs must end. Under this system, son replaced the father and daughter replaced her mother as party leader and ruler.
These people came from US or Europe at the time of elections and the media and the western powers gave them full coverage. How could they feel for the poor and hungry people when they have not experienced hunger and poverty, he asked.
Sirajul Haq said that JI would establish the system of Caliph Umar bin Khattab.Education up to matriculation would be free and the parents not sending their wards to free schools would be jailed. Free treatment would be provided to the patients of five major diseases. Nobody would be allowed to build a house of more than ten marlas because bigger houses at the moment were occupied only by a house owner, his wife and a pet dog.
The JI chief said the nation wanted accountability. He said the public money was being transferred abroad and the rulers had started personal business there. The ruling party and also the opposition were part of this game and new names were being revealed every day. However, the accountability must begin with the prime minister and his family. He said the prime minister wanted accountability of his choice and other parties were also trying to free from that.
Referring to the execution of Maulana Matiur Rahman Nizami in Bangladesh, he said that BD Prime Minister Hasina Wajid had sent two emissaries to Maulana Matiur Rahman promising that if he apologised for supporting Pakistan during the 1971 events and felt sorry for that, he would be pardoned. However, Maulana Nizami flatly refused to do that and stated categorically that Pakistan was an ideology and he could not deny supporting that.
On the other hand, he said, the Indian Premier Modi, during his visit to Bangladesh, had presented to Hasina Wajid a photograph showing Pakistan Army’s General Niazi surrendering to Indian general. He said that Modi had also told Hasina Wajid that he had played a role in the dismemberment of Pakistan. He said it was tragic that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had presented saris to the same Modi at his Jati Umra residence.
Sirajul Haq said if ulema and religious parties stood united, all problems of the country and the people could be resolved. The JI chief noted that some southern districts of KP besides Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu and Lachi were being ignored in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, and said that such a corridor was not acceptable to the people of the area.
