18 complainants get Rs5 million grant

LAHORE: On the orders of Punjab Ombudsman Major (retired) Azam Suleman Khan pending dues of Rs 5 million were paid to 18 complainants across the province.

Following the orders of the Ombudsman, Secretary Construction and Works, Deputy Director Labor Welfare and Secretary Punjab Workers Welfare Fund, provided legal relief of more than Rs5million to 18 people whose applications for grant were pending since long.

Furthermore, on the orders of the Ombudsman 3 kanals and 11 marlas of government land was also retrieved from squatters.
