FAISALABAD: Two children lost their lives while seven others were severely injured when a laptop allegedly exploded and caused a fire in a house located in Mohalla Sharifpura near Satiana Road on the third day of Eid.

According to Rescue 1122, the fire flared up due to the overheating of the laptop’s battery, injuring Farhat, Rashida, Nargis, Raza, Rehan, Iman Fatima, Muhammad Talha, Dua Fatima, Iman Fatima, and 3-year-old Muhammad Ibrahim.

Rescue 1122 shifted the burnt victims to Allied Hospital where, unfortunately, Dua Fatima and Muhammad Talha succumbed to their injuries.

Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Nayar Sheikh formed a committee to probe the incident, assuring possible medical care and facilities to the injured and their families.
