Resolution for attachment of
Bhakkar with LHC Multan bench

BHAKKAR: The Bhakkar Bar Association Saturday passed a resolution demanding attachment of Bhakkar district with the Lahore High Court Multan Bench. Advocate Malik Tariq Mehmood moved the resolution, saying that the distance between Bhakkar and Lahore is 425 km whereas the distance between Bhakkar and Multan is only 175 km. He said this attachment would shorten the time of travel.
LAB INAUGURATED: The RPO Sargodha Saturday inaugurated a police IT laboratory in Bhakkar.
Talking to reporters, the RPO said modern training would be imparted to police personnel to combat criminals. He vowed resolving issues of the department as a priority. The RPO said police are in high alert on river bank posts and on Dajal Check post, saying hundreds of suspects were detained. He said shortage of police staff would be completed shortly.
SCHOOL ATTACKERS HELD: Police Saturday claimed arresting people accused of attacking a girls school. Reportedly, Akhtar Husain, Akbar Husain, Asghar Husain and Arshad Husain allegedly entered the Girls Model Primary School at Sirai Muhajir, Bhakkar and beat students, teachers and threatened them. Headmistress Nargis Parveen had lodged a written complaint against the accused.
