FIA embraces AI for enhanced efficiency
Islamabad:The FIA Cyber Crime Wing in Islamabad is actively working on enhancing the capacity building of their team. Despite receiving around 92,000 complaints annually and having limited resources and staff, the department is diligently performing its duties to the best of its ability, says a press release.
The Additional Director General, Waqar Ud Din Syed, recently enrolled a number of officers from all over Pakistan in a training program on artificial intelligence conducted by Digital Waseb and NUST University Islamabad.
In a recent meeting with Dr. Usman Khan, CEO of Digital Waseb, Deputy Director Mehmood-ul-Hassan mentioned that processing the large number of complaints received from across the country and prioritizing them based on merit for prompt action is a challenging task. He also stated that the cyber crime wing is planning to launch a project to utilize artificial intelligence to ensure that urgent and important complaints are processed efficiently. This will also facilitate the screening of irrelevant complaints.
