ISLAMABAD: Appointments and transfers have been made in the federal bureaucracy. Air Vice Marshal Nasir Jamal Khattak has been appointed Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Defence. Khattak has been appointed on the secondment basis for two years. The current Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Air Vice Marshal Shahid Mansoor Jahangiri will retire.

President’s House Director General (Legal) Dr. Zulfiqar Hussain Awan has been replaced. Dr. Zulfiqar Hussain, a Grade 21 officer of the Secretariat Group, has been directed to report to the Establishment Division. Izzat Jahan has been appointed as Additional Secretary to the Presidency. Izzat Jahan is a retired Grade 21 officer of the Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service.

The services of Muhammad Shoaib Khurram, a Grade 20 officer of the Police Service of Pakistan, who is awaiting appointment, have been transferred to the Punjab government. He has previously served as DIG Safe City, Islamabad.

Grade 18 OMG officer Farhan Akhtar, posted in the Sindh government, has been transferred and posted as Section Officer Anti-Narcotics Division. The Establishment Division has issued notifications for the appointments and transfers.
