Rs25.449bn allocated for Public Building Department

LAHORE: The Punjab government has allocated Rs25.449 billion for Public Building Department for the financial year 2024-25.

Around Rs535.206m of allocated budget will be spent at Board of Revenue, Rs520.429m allocated for C&W, Rs298m allocated for Chief Minister initiative, Rs16.870m for Governor's House, Rs1.907bn allocated for Home department, Rs3.703bn allocated for Jails, Rs8.545bn allocated for Judiciary, Rs303.032 allocated for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Rs7.165bn allocated for jails, Rs746.280 million allocated of Provincial Assembly, Rs146.963 million allocated for Public Prosecution, and Rs5m allocated for S&GAD South Punjab .

Rs1.4bn for Women Development Dept

The provincial government has allocated Rs1.4 bn for Women Development Department. A sum of Rs319 million of the allocated budget will be spent on the new schemes while Rs1.089bn will be spent on ongoing schemes.

For Human Rights and Minority Affairs, the government allocated Rs4bn, Rs3.86 bn will be spent on new schemes and Rs132.843 million will be spent ongoing schemes. A sum of Rs800m for Auqaf and Religious Affairs while Rs83m will be spent on news schemes while Rs717m will be spent on ongoing schemes. For Archeology, Rs800m has been allocated; Rs365.618 million will be spent on new schemes while Rs434.382m will be spent on ongoing schemes. For Information and Culture Rs2.6bn has been allocated; Rs2.299bn will be spent on new schemes while Rs300.650m will be spent on ongoing schemes. A sum of Rs18.500bn has been allocated for Transport department; Rs15.725bn will be spent on new schemes and Rs2.775bn will be spent on ongoing schemes. The Punjab govt has allocated Rs400m for Labour and Human Rights Development; Rs124.195m will be spent on new schemes and Rs275.805m will be spent on ongoing schemes.

Rs14.300bn for roads

The provincial government has allocated Rs14.300bn for Roads for the financial year 2024-25. Around Rs84, 817.750m be spent on new schemes and Rs58.182bn will be spent on ongoing schemes. In a new schemes, Rs1.317bn will be spent on 28 regular schemes, Rs45bn allocated for Road Rehabilitation Programme-II under 75 schemes, Rs30bn for Roads Restoration Programme (RRP) under 482 schemes, Rs8.5bn allocated Chief Minister Initiative under four schemes.
