Naqvi lauds FC role in maintaining peace

The interior minister announced an increase in the Shuhada Package from Rs3 million to Rs10 million

SHABQADAR: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said on Tuesday that the Frontier Constabulary (FC) had always played as frontline force in maintaining law and order and performed duty excellently in difficult times.

“You are neither Pathan, Punjabi, Sindhi nor Balochi but only patriotic Pakistanis, who always performed duty with dedication and utmost sincerity,” he said while addressing a parade at the FC Training Centre in Shabqadar.

“The nation is proud of your services and matchless sacrifices you rendered for the country and its people in the line of duty.,” he said, adding that the FC personnel must continue taking the mission of a developed and prosperous Pakistan forward to grab an exalted place in the comity of nations.

Earlier, FC Commandant Muazzam Jah Ansari welcomed the interior minister, who later placed a floral wreath on the Monument of Martyrs and prayed for the martyred FC personnel.

A smartly turned out contingent of FC personnel presented a guard of honor to the minister, who later inspected the parade. He also inspected practical skills and training of FC personnel.
