Seminar on challenges to Pakistan & way forward held at PMAS-AAUR

Rawalpindi: Former Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar has said that the main goal of the youth should be to get education and play a role in the country's development and prosperity. Pakistan has its own unique history and we are responsible for its current situation.

He expressed these views while addressing a seminar on Challenges to Pakistan & Way Forward at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR), here on Monday.

The seminar was organised by the University's Directorate of Students’ Affairs which was attended by University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Naeem, Dean, Directors, Principal Officers, Faculty members and a large number of students.

Former Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar further said that in Pakistan tax revenue collection is the biggest problem and he tried to bring reforms in FBR during his tenure. He told the students that the future of Pakistan is in your hands and you should play your role for its development.

Five lakh tonnes of canola oil is imported. If seeds and oil are available in the country, why are we importing it from other countries?, he added. He said, "Recently he was accused of wheat theft and I offer why the wheat scam is not investigated."

Earlier, University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Naeem gave a welcome speech and said that first youth should complete their education and then play their role for the development of the country. At the end, the Vice Chancellor Presented shield to the chief guest Former Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar.
