Islamabad: During a shootout between bike-riding gunmen and police party, two cops and a mugger have wounded at IJP Road on Monday, police said.
The gunmen opened fire on the police officers when they flagged the bike riding gangsters to stop them, consequently, the police responded with fire, injuring one of the riders. Two police officials sustained injuries during the encounter. The police have cordoned off the area and a search operation is underway. The injured officer has been shifted to the hospital. The Islamabad police are close to apprehending the suspects and an arrest is expected soon.
This incident highlights the improved response time and professionalism of the Islamabad police, which prevented any loss of life. The police's swift action and effective strategy are commendable, and it is expected that the suspects will be brought to justice soon.
