PESHAWAR: The lawyers here on Monday boycotted judicial proceedings in protest against the attack on a lawyer, Ali Zaman, and did not appear in courts.
They observed the strike on the call of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council to record protest against the attack on Ali Zaman.
The lawyer suffered injuries in a late-night attack in Peshawar recently.
The strike created problems for the litigants, who had come from various parts of the province in connection with their cases. The proceedings could not take place to the strike by the lawyers.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council Vice-Chairman Sadiq Ali Mohmand condemned the attack and demanded the government to conduct investigation into the attack to bring the accused to justice.
