CD drama woman artiste found murdered in Nowshera
NOWSHERA: The bullet-riddled body of Pashto CD drama actress Khushbo was recovered from Khushmuqam near Wapda Colony on Monday.
Shehryar, a resident of Swabi, who is currently living in Khwaja Town in Peshawar, told the police that he was informed someone that the bullet-riddled body of his sister Khushbo was lying in the fields in Khushmuqam near the Wapda Colony.
He said that his sister was an artiste and working in Pashto CD dramas and stage programmes. The complainant has nominated Shaukat and Falak Niaz, residents of Titara in Akbarpura, for the murder of his sister.
The man alleged that the accused first arranged a programme and later shot her dead and then dumped the body Khushmuqam area.
He said that the accused pressured the artiste not to go for concerts with other people and had always threatened her with dire consequences.
Meanwhile, the police said that accused Falak Niaz had married a showbiz actress Safia and later murdered her in Attock over some dispute. The police said that they had collected enough evidence from the crime scene and were now investigating the case. They hoped the accused would be arrested soon.
