Three killed in Dir road mishap

DIR: Three persons were killed and one injured when a car plunged into the river in Sheringal area in Upper Dir on Sunday.
Police and rescue officials said that the car was on its way to Doogdara when it fell into the Panjkora River at Belo area in Sheringal. “The vehicle was at high speed and fell into the river after hitting a rock,” said an eyewitness.
The local residents, rescue teams, and civil defense volunteers rushed to the scene soon after the incident. The injured and bodies were shifted to the local hospital RHC in Sheringal.
The deceased were identified as driver Amanullah, Sherin Zada, and Harith. The injured person has been identified as Ikhtisham. “The car has not been retrieved from the river yet,” said a police official.
