LAHORE : During the ongoing crackdown against gas pilferers, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) continued raids in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad on Sunday, disconnecting another 71 connections and imposing fines totaling Rs 0.91 million.
In Lahore, the team disconnected eight connections for illegal gas use and imposed fines of Rs. 0.51 million. Additionally, the team lodged one FIR against a gas pilferer. In Multan, the team disconnected nine connections for illegal gas use and another three for the use of compressors. In Peshawar, the company disconnected 39 connections for direct and illegal gas use, booking an amount of Rs 0.07 million against gas theft cases. The regional team in Sheikhupura disconnected four connections for illegal gas use, booking an amount of Rs 0.19 million against gas theft cases.
In Faisalabad, the team disconnected two connections for illegal gas use and imposed fines of Rs. 0.07 million. In Karak, the team disconnected one connection for illegal gas use and booked an amount of Rs 0.07 million against gas theft cases. In Bahawalpur, the team disconnected one connection for illegal gas use and another for the use of a compressor.
