Gandapur says no one can change loyalty of PTI workers
Provincial government would not allow the imposition of taxes in the Malakand Division: says Gandapur
MINGORA: Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Saturday said that nobody could change the loyalty of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers through force.
Addressing a gathering of PTI workers here, he said the PTI workers were ready to take to the streets on the call of former prime minister Imran Khan.
Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan and former speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser also spoke on the occasion.
Gandapur said the provincial government would not allow the imposition of taxes in the Malakand Division. The chief minister said a country was run in line with the Constitution, not as per the wishes of personalities. He said that their leader was being punished through fake cases. He said the government would spare no effort to facilitate the people and would provide health, education and sports facilities. The chief minister said the government would take stern action against the timber mafia. He also promised action against those seeking bribes.
He said Imran Khan was the name of an ideology which was why he could not be erased from the minds and hearts of people by illegal tactics. “If the opposing party thinks that the PTI workers could be forced to leave PTI, then it is their miscomprehension. Those who put our leader in jail must listen that Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Asif Zardari are our culprits.”
Opposing the imposition of taxes in ex-Fata, Gandapur said that his government would not allow anybody to impose taxes in the Malakand Division.
“The police of this province did injustice against us at the behest of someone else, but I did not say anything because the police force is the soldier of Imran Khan and whenever I go out for the rights of this province, this police will be with me,” he stated. Earlier, the Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Aien head Mahmood Khan Achakzai, said, “We do not ask for charity or zakat from anyone. We want authority over our resources, we do not want to break Pakistan, but the residents of Pashtun lands have the right over their resources,” he said.
Barrister Gohar Khan said, “The people of KP trusted Imran Khan for the third time. Imran Khan is in jail, but he says that even if he stays in jail for a thousand years, he will fight for rule of law and supremacy of the Constitution.” Speaking on the occasion, Asad Qaiser said, “The first public meeting of PTI was being held in Swat today but unfortunately Murad Saeed is not present. We now have two objectives, the release of Imran Khan and the end of fake cases against the PTI leaders. On February 8, the people of the country voted in favour of Imran Khan.” The people voted for PTI but they stole the public mandate, he claimed.
