KARACHI: A business delegation headed by Chairperson of the Pak-Morocco Business Council and Consul General of Morocco Ishtiaq Baig has returned after a successful visit to Morocco.
The delegation comprised 25 leading businessmen from various sectors; MNA and former SVP of the FPCCI Mirza Ikhtiar Baig was also part of the delegation. The team visited the Casablanca Chamber of Commerce and Industry and had a meeting with its president Mr Hassan Berkani and his team.
The delegation also visited the Rabat Chamber of Commerce and met its president and his team. B2B meetings were also held between businessmen from the two countries at the chambers. During the delegation visit, a biryani festival was also organized at the Embassy of Pakistan in Rabat, attended by the ambassador of Pakistan, diplomats, presidents of the two chambers, and businessmen.
A Pakistani chef and his team prepared different types of biryanis. This was the fourth biryani festival held in Morocco to promote Pakistani rice and spices.
Morocco is a gateway to Africa and a business hub, the bilateral trade between Pakistan and Morocco has reached $850 million. After the visit of the delegation, it is expected that bilateral trade between the two countries will further increase.
