Police again grill Qureshi about May 9 violence

RAWALPINDI: A 9-member team of Lahore police visited Adiala Jail to investigate former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in the May 9 violence and grilled about different aspects, jail sources said on Friday.

This was third visit of the investigation team of experts of Lahore police. The police questioned the PTI leader for over four hours and put questions including a written questionnaire, sources maintained.

Experts from the Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA) were also included in the investigation team. They had brought modern equipment to record Qureshi’s statement. The PFSA experts were equipped with a polygraph test kit and other relevant apparatus. The police investigators also recorded a video statement of Qureshi in cases related to the May 9 violence.
