LAHORE: Punjab University has started interviews of deserving students to provide them with HEC need-based scholarships for their financial assistance.
In this regard, a meeting was presided over by PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood in which Director Planning and Development Prof Dr Hafiz Anwaar and Treasurer’s staff participated. Addressing the meeting, the VC said that PU would continue to play an active role in providing financial assistance to deserving students for continuation of their higher education. He said that despite the lack of financial resources, the PU graduates were serving all over the world. Meanwhile, interviews were conducted for providing scholarships to the deserving students of various departments.
MoU signed on promotion of academic research
Punjab University and a private university have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote academic and research activities. In this regard, the MoU signing ceremony was held at the PU VC office’s committee room here on Friday. On this occasion, PU VC Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, LLU VC Prof Dr Nadeem Bhatti and others were present. According to the MoU, both the universities will jointly work to strengthen academic relations between institutions of both universities. They will work on academic resources and publications exchange, faculty and students exchange for study and research, training of teaching and non-teaching staff.
