GUJRANWALA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sanam Javed was produced in the Gujranwala Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) by police on Thursday.
Police requested 30-day physical remand of Sanam, but the court granted four-day physical remand and ordered producing her again on June 10.
Earlier, Sanam’s lawyers completed arguments for her acquittal.
She also spoke with the court permission during the hearing and said there were allegations of conspiracy against her with regard to a high-profile meeting but when the meeting took place, there was no PTI worker or official present. The court took notice of her lawyers making a video inside the court and reprimanded them. The lawyers apologized to the court.
Later, her lawyer Mian Ali Ashfaq said there were three basic things to prove a crime: what are the facts of the case and what constitutes evidence and legal justification?
He said he tried hard to satisfy the court on all the three points. Sanam is innocent and be discharged from the case.
