People of Karachi will choose between good and evil on April 23: Siraj

JI holds massive public gathering on Shahrah-e-Pakistan

KARACHI: The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the people of Karachi will choose between good and evil on April 23 in the shape of Rashid Naseem or Faisal ‘Mota’, adding that the JI is linked to the people of Karachi since the Tehreek-e-Pakistan movement.
He expressed these views while addressing a mammoth gathering, organised by the JI Karachi chapter at Shahrah-e-Pakistan near Ayesha Manzil in connection with the NA-246 by-poll campaign on Sunday.
Addressing the gathering, Senator Sirajul Haq said that the people of Karachi had given love and support to the MQM and Altaf Hussain, but in returnprovided targeted killings, extortion and terrorism to the masses.
Senator Siraj-ul-Haq further said that the terrorism of MQM has changed the identity of Karachi and destroyed the peace of city, adding that a peaceful Karachi is imperative for the progress of Pakistan and Muslim world.
He said that Nabil Gabool has already confessed that massive rigging committed in the general election-2013 in the constituency of NA-246.“The terrorism of sector in charges would be eliminated on April 23”, he added.
He advised the MQM leadership to withdraw its candidate before April 23 to refrain itself from insulting defeat, adding that the United States and United Kingdom will not protect MQM from defeat in by-polls.
“Those who do not tolerate the slogans of ‘Al-madad, Al-madad’ should go to London”, he added.Siraj-ul-Haq appealed the people of the constituency to go to polling stations on polling day for bringing real change in Karachi, adding that the terrorism will eliminate from April 23.
He further said that the JI will introduce uniform education system in all educational institutions where the children from poor and elite classes will get the education.“Free medical treatment, subsidy on five basic commodities would be introduced by Jamaat-e-Islami”, he added.
He announced that the JI has decided to make Pakistan “a prosperous state” and will start its campaign from Karachi.Senator Siraj-ul-Haq assured that the peace and calm would be restored in Karachi from April 23.
JI Naib Ameer Pakistan and contender in NA-246 Rashid Naseem said that the constituency NA-246 was belonging to Prof Ghafoor and the Jamaat-e-Islami will revive the past glory of Karachi on April 23.
Rashid Naseem said that the MQM has failed to serve the masses of Karachi and the situation of the city was being deteriorated since 1984, infrastructure, transportation, health and education of the city are being destroyed badly by the elected representatives.
He further said that the JI Chief Siraj-ul-Haq has a credit to secure democracy by his political wisdom and due to his efforts PTI parliamentarians have returned into the Parliament House.Rashid Naseem said that the people on April 23 will give vote and support Jamaat-e-Islami and Siraj-ul-Haq.
Naib Ameer JI Pakistan Asadullah Bhutto said that the Jamaat-e-Islami will get success on April 23 and rid the people of Karachi from terrorism, targeted killing and extortion.Naib Ameer JI Sindh Muhammad Hussain Mehanti said that the MQM has destroyed the peace of Karachi since 1984 and their representatives being elected in Karachi through bogus votes, which has already confessed by former MQM leader Nabil Gabool.
He said that the law enforcing agencies have failed to ensure safety to the rallies of Jamaat-e-Islami and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.On the occasion, Mehanti demanded the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and other authorities concerned to play their role to ensure peaceful election on April 23.
JI Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that the massive public gathering is evident that the JI will get success in by-polls on April 23.He said that the bloodshed, terrorism and lawlessness were being spread in Karachi through a planned conspiracy, adding that the JI will free the city from terrorism.
Hafiz Naeem further said that the ruling elite distributed the masses on the basis of cast, color and creed just for the sake of their vested interest.
He said that terrorism in city has destroyed its culture, tradition and education and spread ethnic violence in Karachi, adding that the JI leadership has served the masses indiscriminately in its tenure of city administration.
“NA-246 is not strange for Jamaat-e-Islami and the candidate Rashid Naseem will get victorious on April 23”, he added.On the occasion, he vowed that the JI leadership with the help of people will bring Islamic revolution in Pakistan and the city and the movement for change will start from Karachi on April 23.
Mehmood Hamid through a resolution demanded of the government to remove cinema hall from the building of Islamic Research Center located near Ayesha Manzil.
Abdul Hafiz, Nazim IJT, Karachi presented a resolution pertaining to condemn amendments in literature books of Islamiat, Urdu and Pakistan Studies and deletion of historic topics from text books.
Younus Barai, JI Ameer District East has said that the today’s public gathering has proved that the people are with Jamaat-e-Islami.
He further said that the external forces through their local agents have destroyed the peace of economic hub of country, however; JI leadership with the support of the people will bring peace and calm in Karachi.
Munim Zafar Khan, JI Ameer District Central has said that the election campaign of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) is continued for last 10 days and the people will bring change in city through their votes on April 23.
He said that the JI leadership had served selflessly to the people of that constituency in its period of city government and the construction of Karachi Institute of Heart Disease (KIHD) and other institutions are the open evidence of JI services towards the people of that constituency.
