KARACHI: A security guard of a mobile phones shop gunned down a TikToker in North Nazimabad late on Tuesday night.
Twenty-four-year-old Saad Ahmed, son of Mukhtiar Ahmed, was shot dead while he was making a video outside the Sareena Mobile Market near Sakhi Hassan in the Taimuria police remit.
Responding to information, police rushed to the scene where they saw that people were standing around an injured man and had caught a security guard, identified as Gul Hassan.
The police with the help of rescue teams immediately moved the injured man to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The initial investigation showed that Saad Ahmed, a resident of North Nazimabad, was making a TikTok video outside the mobile market. During the process, the security guard got infuriated and fatally shot him.
Police arrested the security guard with the murder weapon, a rifle, and shifted him to the police station. During the interrogation, the security guard told the police that Ahmed was pointing his camera towards him while making a video, and he opened fire in anger.
