Save our heritage
Despite being taken under the custody of the official authorities, several heritage sites in Naushahro Feroze are in a state of utter disrepair and encroachment. This includes the Government Madrasa and Campus High School established in 1893, and the grave of Henry Rayland Square, Deputy Collector and Magistrate of Naushahro Feroze. It is disheartening to see our rich cultural heritage being neglected and allowed to crumble. The Government Madrasa and Campus High School, established in 1893, are significant historical landmarks that showcase the region’s educational and cultural legacy. Similarly, the grave of Henry Rayland Square, a British officer who served in the region, is an important historical site that highlights the complex history of Sindh.
Unfortunately, these sites are facing severe neglect and encroachment, which threatens their very existence. It is the responsibility of the concerned authorities to take immediate action to protect and preserve these heritage sites. I urge the concerned authorities to take the necessary steps to restore and maintain these sites, and ensure their protection from encroachment. It is our collective responsibility to preserve our cultural heritage for future generations.
