ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Aviation Secretary Saif Anjum, who is also the Director General the Civil Aviation Authority, made a surprise inspection of Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport.
He inspected the ongoing development work for the expansion project of the terminal building and its related facilities. Allama Iqbal International Airport Manager, Project Director, Chief Security Officer of ASF and other officials, Resident Engineer of Nespak, Chinese and local contractors also accompanied by the secretary. The project director, the contractor of the Chinese company and the resident engineer gave a detailed briefing. Speaking to the heads of all departments, the secretary said that there would be no compromise on the quality of development work for the terminal building and expansion of its related facilities. The project director said that the connected roads were being widened to access the parking lot of the airport. After the roads, the entrances and exits of the passenger car park would be doubled. The secretary was also informed about the traffic study procedure for automatic counting of vehicles at various entrances and exits of the airport.
