Lesco official dismissed
LAHORE:Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) has dismissed from service a Line Superintendent Grade-II of Batapur Sub-Division.
According to a Lesco spokesman, the Line Superintendent, Ghulam Nabi, was shifting 11KV pole and a 25kVA transformer from private workers on Minhala Road. During the operation, government bucket was also working along with a private bucket.
He added that Ghulam Nabi was carrying out this work without taking permission from the department thus endangering the lives of private team due to which the area consumers faced power cut for several hours.
The departmental inquiry revealed that the LS has also been facilitating power theft by installing bogus electricity meter. The XEN Shalamar Division Ali Raza dismissed the Line Superintendent Grade-II Ghulam Nabi after thorough departmental investigation.
