CTD detains 44 suspects in May

LAHORE:Counter-Terrorism Department Punjab arrested 44 suspects and conducted 794 intelligence-based operations in different cities of Punjab last month.
According to the CTD spokesman, while carrying out operations in Lahore, Pindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Narowal, Sialkot, Khaniwal, Mandi Bahauddin, Jhang, RYK and Bahawalpur, the CTD detained the suspects and recovered 10,275 gram explosives, one explosive vest, one pistol, one handgrenade, three IED bomb, three ball baring box, 37 detonators, 11 banned books 11, 14 prohibited magazines, 209 pamphlets and stickers of 137 orginisation from them. The arrested accused belong to banned outfit LJ, Al-Qaeda, TTP, Sepah-e-Sahaba and Daesh, They were planning to attack various locations.
