Over Rs700,000 released for treatment of cops’ kids

LAHORE: Inspector General Police (IGP), Punjab, Dr Usman Anwar Monday released over Rs 700,000 for the treatment of children of police employees.

From the released funds Head Constable Abdul Jabbar got Rs. 112,000 for his daughter's treatment, Constable Muhammad Mumtaz Ali of Special Branch Rs 100,000 for his ailing daughter, Naib Qasid Muhammad Zafar Rs 100,000 for his son's treatment, Constable Tauseef from Khanewal Rs 100,000 for the treatment of his disabled daughter, traffic warden Muhammad Tahir Rs 100,000 for his injured son, Constable Riaz Ahmad of PC Farooqabad Rs 100,000 for his son's treatment, and PHP Driver Constable Abid Shakeel Rs 100,000 for his son's medical expenses. The IGP said under the "Humaray Phool" project, children with severe illnesses are provided monthly stipends for medical expenses.
