Journalists’ colony approved: minister

MANDI BAHAUDDIN: Punjab Minister for Women Development Hameeda Waheeduddin Thursday claimed that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had approved a residential colony for Mandi Bahauddin journalists on her personal request.
In a press release, the minister said practical steps in this regard would be taken soon and huge funds would be allocated for the project.
Mandi Bahauddin Press Club president Muhammad Zaheed Khan, secretary Khalid Sandhu, and Electronic Media Association president Khawaja Muhammad Shafiq welcomed the approval of the colony for journalists. They called for an early demarcation in this connection.
