Theft accused injured by accomplices’ firing

HAFIZABAD: A theft accused was injured when his accomplices opened fire on a police van in a bid to get him released from custody on Ratian Road near Sukheke on Thursday.
Police had arrested accused Imran in a case of cattle lifting. Police were taking him for investigation when his accomplices started firing on a police vehicle. As a result, accused Imran was injured while his accomplices managed to escape. He was shifted to the DHQ Hospital.

HAFIZABAD: Three people were injured by the firing of their rivals at Lukhya village on Thursday.
Muhammad Sarwar had a land dispute with Sadi Ahmad and others. On the day of the incident, both groups exchanged hot words with each other over the issue. In the meantime, Sarwar along with his two accomplices allegedly opened fire on his rivals. As a result, Sadi Ahmad, Shahadat Ali and Taqi Hussain were injured seriously. They were shifted to a hospital.
