Punjab set to announce ‘Khelta Punjab’ strategy

MULTAN: Punjab Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Faisal Ayub Khokhar has announced plans to promote sports across the province in the coming days. A strategy will be devised for these apolitical initiatives.

During a press conference at the Multan Press Club on Monday, Faisal Ayub, along with MNA Ali Qasim Gilani, declared Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz’s vision for promoting sports, including the “Khelta Punjab” plan.

“The government is committed to providing the best sports facilities to the youth of Punjab. All the resources will be utilized to settle the playgrounds. If their grounds are settled, the rush at the hospitals will be reduced. A sports complex will be built in every provincial constituency. The construction of a sports complex will be started soon in provincial constituency PP-213. This will be a gift to the people and youth of Sports Complex Multan from Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif,” the minister said.
