SUKKUR: Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar on Sunday took notice of an armed clash between two rival groups in Ratodero area of Larkana district.
The minister sought detailed report of the incident from Larkana SSP.
He said that the police should ensure establishing writ of law, adding that the protection of life and property of citizens should be ensured.
He also directed the police to investigate the matter according to law and solve it.
According to details, members of two rival clans Jalbani and Veesar exchanged fires for five hours in Ratodero, creating panic and confining people to their homes. The members of both the clans used automatic weapons.
Reports said the police, on behalf of state, registered an FIR against 33 people of both the clans u/s 7 of the ATA.
Meanwhile, Larkana DIGP Nasir Aftab Pathan said the situation is under control, adding that more than 100 personnel have been deployed in Ratodero city.
He further said the people involved in the firing have been identified through the videos that went viral on social media, adding that strict action would be taken against them.
